maréchal Berthier, major général de la Grande Armée</span></h1><h2 data-kind="letter-context;" style="text-align: right; font-size: 1em; font-weight: normal">Stolpen, 25 août 1813</h2><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Mon cousin, donnez ordre que le
quartier général se rende à Stolpen dans la journée. Donnez ordre
au duc de Raguse de former un bataillon de dépôt composé d'un chef
de bataillon, 3 capitaines, 3 lieutenants,
3 sous-lieutenants, avec le nombre de sous-officiers et tambours
nécessaires à l'organisation de trois compagnies complétées à
200 hommes, en tout 600 hommes. Il formera ce bataillon
avec les gens éclopés ou fatigués que quelques jours de repos
peuvent remettre en état. Ce bataillon tiendra garnison à Bautzen.
</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Donnez le même ordre au maréchal
Mortier. Les trois compagnies de son bataillon seront composées
chacune par une de ses trois divisions.

</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Donnez ordre au général Dulauloy de
laisser à Bautzen une batterie de huit pièces de la Garde. Il
choisira les hommes et les chevaux les plus fatigués. Faites
connaître au commandant de la place qu'il doit défendre la 1ère
enceinte des faubourgs contre la cavalerie légère ennemie, la ville
et son enceinte contre une avant-garde ennemie et qu'enfin il doit
