ai pas encore ici la moitié.
</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Mon intention est
d’avoir promptement mes 10 bataillons de la Vieille Garde à
leur complet de 600 hommes. Les 2 bataillons de vélites
doivent être complétés à 600 en prenant dans la Jeune Garde
des Italiens bons sujets et déjà à l’école des bataillons.
</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Les bataillons de la
Vieille Garde seront complétés en prenant ce qui sera nécessaire
dans la Jeune Garde, parmi les hommes ayant plus de 4 ans de
service, la taille et la santé. Mais il faut trouver les moyens
d’habiller tous ces hommes.<sup>[^3]</sup></p>
