votre lettre du 31 mai, par laquelle vous me faites connaître
les nouvelles banqueroutes qui ont eu lieu en Italie.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Depuis, vous aurez reçu
le décret par lequel j'ai permis l'exportation des grains et riz.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Je vois par l'état que
vous joignez à votre lettre qu'en complétant les 4 bataillons
des 6 régiments, il n'y aurait pas d'hommes à donner aux
5 bataillons de la division Durutte que j'envoie en Italie.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Mon intention est de
compléter à 500 hommes les 5 bataillons de cette
division.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Mettez-y de préférence
des Romains, des Toscans et des Piémontais ; tenez ces bataillons à
Trente. Formez-en une brigade sous les ordres d'un général de
brigade ou d'un colonel.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Selon les
circonstances, j'ordonnerai de les compléter à 800 hommes en y
mettant des Romains et des Toscans, et de les diriger sur Dresde.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Si ces bataillons
doivent rester en Italie, une brigade de 2 500 hommes vous
sera utile.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">J'écris au ministre de
la Guerre de tirer des différents dépôts en Toscane et à Rome, et
de tout ce qui est disponible en France, pour compléter votre corps.
Faites un état de ce qu'il faut pour compléter les 24 bataillons,
en calculant le déficit de la conscription. Il faut que chaque
régiment ait au grand complet 3 360 hommes sans compter
les officiers et sous-officiers. On doit compter de plus ce qu'il
faut pour les bataillons de la division Durutte.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Par ce moyen les
4 bataillons seront complets, et vous aurez un peu de monde pour
les 5<sup>es</sup> bataillons de garnison.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Je vois que

des six régiments que le 53<sup>e</sup> est le plus faible et
qu'il a besoin de recevoir 600 hommes. J'estime que si le
ministre de la Guerre envoie des dépôts des départements au-delà
des Alpes 3 à 4 000 conscrits, cela fera le compte.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Quant aux shakos,
prenez des mesures pour qu'ils soient fournis au 15 juillet.
Augmentez le prix, s'il est nécessaire. Envoyez-moi l'état des
bataillons des 27<sup>e</sup>, 28<sup>e</sup> et 29<sup>e</sup> divisions
militaires ; je crois que la 27<sup>e</sup> et la 28<sup>e</sup> divisions
militaires ont chacune 3 brigades provisoires, ce qui doit faire
9 bataillons. Le 29<sup>e</sup> doit en fournir un, celui
du 112<sup>e</sup> et il y a à Rome un bataillon du 14<sup>e</sup> léger
et un du 6<sup>e</sup> de ligne. Vous aurez ainsi sous la main
