Bellune, qu'il doit avoir 16 bouches à feu, puisqu'il garde
avec lui la batterie qui était avec la 1<sup>re</sup> division,
et qu'il est à craindre que la 5<sup>e</sup> division ne parte

connaître l'état exact de l'artillerie de l'armée, savoir ce qu'il
y a en ligne, ce qui a été perdu ou laissé en arrière, combien il
reste à fournir de pièces, de quels points on peut les tirer et
enfin connaître l'époque à laquelle les divers corps d'armée
seront complétés en artillerie d'après l'organisation que j'ai
arrêtée. L'état-major d'artillerie devra envoyer des officiers en
poste pour avoir promptement tous ces renseignements.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">Vous donnerez ordre que
le grand parc d'artillerie qui est à Magdebourg et Minden se rende à
Dresde par la rive gauche de l'Elbe. Il faudra qu'il y ait à
Magdebourg un bon directeur d'artillerie. Je désire avoir un rapport
sur l'artillerie qui est à Augsbourg. Il faut faire connaître que
désormais aucun convoi d'artillerie ne se mettra en route sans mon
approbation. Il faudra me faire savoir la composition des convois à
expédier, quand ils seront prêts à partir et leur destination. Les
événements arrivés dernièrement accusent de négligence et
d'imprévoyance l'état-major d'artillerie d'autant plus que le
convoi d'Halberstadt avait 3 000 hommes d'infanterie à peu
de distance en arrière de lui et que celui d'Augsbourg précédait
de très peu 4 000 d'infanterie. Les convois d'artillerie ne doivent
pas partir avant que toutes les mesures de précaution n'aient été
prises pour assurer leur marche. Voilà 40 pièces de canon
perdues sans raison, car si l'on avait pris les ordres de
l'État-major général, il les eut fait escorter.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0cm">J'ai changé le chef
d'état-major de l'artillerie, mais vous ferez connaître au nouveau
chef d'état-major de cette arme<sup>[^2]</sup>
que je le rends responsable des convois qu'il ferait partir sans que
